Come on give me a smile and What a desire to take you by the hand

2021

The writings Dai su fammi un sorriso (lit. Come on, smile to me) and Ma che voglia di prenderti per mano (lit. How I wish to take you by the hand) were created in Peccioli respectively on the handwriting of Matteo Madonna and Andrea Bottai, the owners of the company that carried out the restoration of Palazzo Senza Tempo.

In the two writings, the intimate and personal dimension becomes public, invading the space of the community and directing it, removing it from anonymity: the two works ask us to be present and to be aware of being with others.

The sculptural writings, in neon light, invite the viewer to interact directly with the work and invite us to action. The intimate and individual dimension of handwriting is translated into a public dimension, highlighting the urgency of the relationships between individuals and marking a moment of fundamental evolution in research on speech and human connections. Corsini himself stated: "the work is not indifferent to the presence of the beholder. From an object to be observed, in my intentions, it becomes an element to be touched or inhabited as an incipit, the beginning of something".
