Through the eyes of Giorgio Gremignai

A white PVC sheet depicts the symbols of the peasant civilisation, so beloved by Giorgio Gremignai, collected and reassembled in a casual way.
This is the tribute that the Municipal Administration, together with Vittorio Corsini, wanted to pay to the former councillor and artist who passed away in April 2016.
Starting from Gremignai's drawings, Vittorio Corsini uses modern ideograms to bring back the essence of rural and peasant civilisation, bound to the ancient
sharecropping tradition in which the identity of the territory has its roots.
The ten-meter canvas is a joyful memory of Giorgio, narrating Fondi Rustici with his eyes and his interpretation; it is a point of reference in the historic centre , both for inhabitants and tourists.
The work was placed just a stone's throw from his home in Piazza del Carmine, in a space in town that Gremignai had attended so many times, both to fulfil his institutional role and also to share moments of leisure with his fellow villagers, gathered in this centre.
