2011

4 sculptures, 5 to 9 meters high, made by Naturaliter Snc, a leading company in the field of museum
installations of all kinds: from itinerary design to scientific reenactments, from the preparation of
dioramas to various kinds of scenic design.
These gigantic sculptures depict human figures: Presences at the Legoli Waste Disposal and
Treatment Plant, a place not only for destruction but also an opportunity for rebirth, even by means
of the external appearance of the place itself.
The idea that new life could be born from waste inspired the creation of the four sculptures in
polystyrene and polyurethane foam; covered by cement fibers and resistant to external agents, they
have been placed around the Green Triangle inside the Legoli Waste Disposal and Treatment Plant
over the years.

In the summer of 2013, 2 of the 4 Presences were transported by helicopter from the Green Triangle
in Legoli to Teatro del Silenzio in Lajatico, a location where Andrea Bocelli gives concerts that
have become a yearly event, attracting spectators from all over the world.

The same experience was repeated in the following year at Fonte Mazzola Amphitheater in Peccioli,
as part of the "11 Lune" Theater, Music and Events festival, held in July.

Currently, two statues are at the landfill, one at Fonte Mazzola Amphitheater and one on the roof of
the business incubator in the area "La Fila", welcoming travelers.
